Douglas Tucker, the president of Calteck, is a corporate lawyer with over 10 years experience in advising public and privately held companies, including NYSE/AMEX/NASDAQ companies. Doug has been actively involved in dozens of private placements, public offerings, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions and all phases of the formation and development of start-up companies. Doug has also advised several companies on international technology transfers, and has served as President of a Silicon Valley technology company that was successful in raising over $40 million in venture financing. He has made more than 50 trips to Europe and Asia and has a strong familiarity with the differences in cultures and business practices that exist overseas. Doug has a B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University (magna cum laude), and a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law. Doug has also worked for the former Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and is currently an adjunct professor in the areas of venture capital transactions, securities laws and investment banking at the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago Kent Law School.
